Art and Spirituality initiatives

Welcome to these information pages on the work of Moot Community Arts, part of the Moot Community's activities in Westminster in London. The group aims to facilitate events that explore and promote the interface between the creative arts and spirituality.

Events include art shows, performance or discussion involving practitioners of faith, or those exploring faith in the local context. The community has a wide network of talent of all abilities which is usually showcased in these events. These draw on local people and therefore bring different aspects of the London cultural landscape.

Art shows are usually themed around an area of spirituality - particularly in our urban postmodern context. Occasionally, these also relate to religious or spiritual festivals.

Shows usually commence with a private view, drawing on our extensive mailing list, which is subsequently open to all including passing foot traffic.

Performance has included poetry evenings and cabaret drawing on song writers and musicians. We hope to expand these in the future to different modalities of performance art.
