Book Review - F Viola's new book

I have been asked to review this book, God's Ultimate Passion by Frank Viola, about to be published in the States. Many in the emergent movement in the States appear to rate this book. If you are wanting to look at the traditional and predominantly redemptive-Christian approach to the understanding of the story of God from creation to recreation (Genesis to Revelation), and you like a narrative approach, then this may be the book for you. This book would be particularly good if you are new to Christian Spirituality, and you were looking for a book that will take you through what some would call 'salvation history', through a more playful and creative approach. From my perspective, the author unashamedly looks at the significance of biblical events through the perspective of Paul the Apostle, and therefore does take quite a conservative approach to things, and does not mention at all some of the key elements that matter to me from a UK emerging church perspective. All these things being equal, it would be a good book to have on your shelf, but it didn't scratch where I itch.... Click on the image for more info.
